What Are the Signs of a Failing Battery?

The car battery is responsible for powering a dozen or more things in the vehicle. Being able to identify warning signs the battery is failing will allow you to get it serviced and replaced before you wind up stranded on the side of the highway.

Warning signs of a failing battery:

1. The headlights become dim after you get the car started.
2. In the morning, the car cranks very slowly to get going.
3. There is a very strange odor coming from the battery compartment.
4. The interior lights are flickering when the car is running.
5. The casing on the battery is bloated or it appears swollen.
6. The check-engine light was flickering but now it stays lit when you are driving the car.
