Buy or Lease a New Ford Ranger in Randolph, NJ

Ford has a solid history of producing trucks that can handle the road to the campsite and the unpaved road to the job site. The new Ford Ranger is doing a terrific job of continuing these traditions. It's a mid-sized truck with plenty of power and comfort. Depending on preference and driving conditions around Dover, you can choose two- or four-wheel drive.

New Features for 2025

The 2025 Ford Ranger has not changed much under the hood, though many new colors are available, including Marsh Gray, Desert Sand, and Ruby Red Metallic. The Black Appearance Package takes away chrome and adds a matte black to wheel covers and grille features for a sleek, speedy look.

Power Under the Hood

The new Ranger has a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine. The zero to 60 time is just over six seconds so that you won't suffer from sluggish acceleration! This engine generates 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.

The 10-speed automatic transmission will power through first and second gear quickly; if you need to put the pedal down to merge or make another maneuver behind the wheel, you'll have the power you need.

Fuel Consumption

One of the benefits of a mid-sized truck is that you get plenty of utility without a high fuel bill. Because the new Rangers stand a bit taller and have a wider body style, fuel efficiency is slightly impacted. You can expect 25 mpg on the highway and 22 in Morristown without a cargo load or trailer attached.

Towing and Payload

Your Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds and offers a payload capacity of 1800 pounds if you choose the two-wheel drive option. The four-wheel drive Ranger can handle a payload of just over 1700 pounds. The bed of this truck is seven feet to the end of the tailgate.

Even better, the space between the walls is just over 48 inches. If you need to haul plywood or sheetrock, all you need is a strap to secure the load. There are multiple mounting hooks available as well.

Passenger Space

The cab of the new Ranger offers space for five adults. Leg and headroom are easily accessed thanks to the full-sized doors. There are also many cubbies and other storage spots inside the cab of this truck. Leather seats are available in the higher trim levels, and the rear seat folds flat for even more storage. There's also a second glovebox!

Driver Control

From the driver's seat, the new Ranger offers a strong sense of control and ease for your ride through Rockaway. There's a 12.4-inch digital infotainment and control screen to plan your route, monitor your vehicle, and choose your favorite music.

The steering of the new Ranger is quite snug; control from the wheel to the back of the tailgate is both easy and comfortable, thanks in great part to the updated suspension.

While older trucks have a rigid bounce that can lead to a sense of disconnection between the tires and the road, the Ranger is built to stay in contact, even in rough terrain around Denville. The composite rear secondary or "helper" leaf spring increases the sense of control you might lose with all steel or bouncy leaf springs. The front control arms are formed of aluminum instead of steel, decreasing rigidity and increasing surety.

Take a trip to Performance Ford and enjoy a test drive of a new Ford. Review your driving needs, including the length of your commute and the amount of towing and hauling you plan to do. Whether you need a daily driver for the family or a work truck for your crew, the Ranger is a fuel-efficient, rugged truck that may suit your needs and save you money over time.
